Terms of Use

Who can use WAVE CLUB

• You must be at least 16 years old to make an account. Anyone can watch without one.
• If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to you using WAVE CLUB and to these terms for you.
• One person, one account. Don't share your account or use someone else's.
• You're responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else got in.

Your content

• You own what you stream, post and write. We don't take that from you.
• To run WAVE CLUB we need your permission to store, show, share and promote your content on WAVE CLUB and when we tell people about WAVE CLUB. You give us that permission, without payment, for as long as your content is on WAVE CLUB (and for a short time after you delete it while copies clear).
• Only post content you made or have the right to share. That includes music: playing someone else's music on stream may need their permission.
• Anyone can download a Wave. Downloaded Waves carry “WAVE CLUB @your-username” in the picture. Saved streams can only be downloaded by their owner.
• Everything you post must follow the Community Guidelines.

Going live

• While WAVE CLUB is new, going live may be limited to creators we approve.
• You're responsible for everything on your stream, including other people who appear in it and your chat moderators.
• Don't stream people who haven't agreed to be streamed, especially children.
• 18+ streams: creators who are 18 or older can mark a stream 18+. Only signed-in viewers who are 18 or older and turned on “Show mature streams” can watch it. 18+ streams may show smoking, drinking, strong language and mature topics. Nudity and sexual content are never allowed, on any stream.
• Streams from the WAVE CLUB studio are checked on your own device for nudity. If it's seen, the stream is covered and ended, and the WAVE CLUB team is told. Nothing is recorded or sent anywhere for that check.

Promotion and the numbers you see

To help new creators and new content get seen, WAVE CLUB promotes channels, streams and Waves. Part of that promotion can add to the numbers shown, such as viewers, views, likes, followers and chat activity. So the numbers on WAVE CLUB are not a guarantee of how many real people watched, liked or followed, and you shouldn't rely on them for any business deal or payment.

Keeping WAVE CLUB safe

• We can remove content, mute chat, end a stream, stop someone posting, or suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the guidelines, or that puts people at risk.
• Where it makes sense, we'll tell you what happened and why. You can ask us to look again.
• Use the Report buttons to tell us about anything that breaks the rules.
• Don't try to break, overload, copy or get around how WAVE CLUB works, or use bots or scripts on it.

Money

WAVE CLUB is free to use right now. Paid features such as WAVE Coins and gifts will come with their own clear terms before any money changes hands.

Leaving

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Your profile, streams, Waves, pictures and messages are then removed. We may keep a small record where the law requires it or to deal with abuse (see the Privacy Policy).

The fine print

• WAVE CLUB is new and we're improving it all the time. It may sometimes be slow, change, or be unavailable, and features may be added or removed.
• WAVE CLUB is provided as it is. As far as South African law allows, we aren't responsible for losses caused by using it, by other people's content, or by it being unavailable. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act or other law that can't be excluded.
• These terms are governed by the law of South Africa.
• If we change these terms in an important way, we'll tell you on WAVE CLUB before the change applies. Using WAVE CLUB after that means you accept the new terms.
